The Big "C"
Let's get right to it.
The BIG "C"!
And by that I mean COFFEE! For most of us, Coffee is a need more than a want; and half the time it is both. But little do we know, there are more GOOD facts than bad ones. Now, we're not saying that Coffee is magic and can cure everything (like Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding), but it helps your body a lot more than you think.
Many of you might have noticed that drinking coffee keeps you awake and alert. Well scientifically speaking, our bodies naturally produce hormones that can keep you feeling this way and this is called...*drum roll please* CORTISOL! This time released hormone breaks into your system when the circadian rhythm is ready to rock!
So what makes Coffee so good for you? Well, consumed in large amounts (more than two cups) it isn't good, but within the normal limits, you should be good to get on with your day. So here's facts about coffee you need to know:
Coffee can help you live a long healthy life. WHAT?? Yes, coffee contains a lot of healthy antioxidants and can help clean out harmful chemicals. With coffee actually helping to protect your body from free radicals, your body is at lower risks for diseases like Parkinson's, Diabetes, Alzheimer's, Dementia and Heart Disease. The unfortunate thing about coffee drinking is that about 90% of the time it is in tune with bad things like smoking, heavy drinking and eating red meat. Now just think about what the possibilities are for your body if you just drank coffee and none of the other stuff.
Coffee Contains Key Nutrients for Survival. You may just drink it because it tastes good, but really, what are you drinking? You're drinking 22% off your daily nutrients, THAT'S WHAT! Okay, so 11% isn't a lot, but it's a lot more then you might normally get! One cup of coffee contains 11% of B2, 6% of B5, 3% of Manganese and Potassium and 2% of Nacin and Magnesium. Perfect for energy and growth!
Coffee can Burn Fat! Whoa, since when? Because of the nutrients in coffee, they allow your body to react to the caffeine. Caffeine is one of the chemicals that help you burn fat by increasing your metabolism from 3-11%. Not only that, but by drinking coffee it increases you adrenaline levels and releases fatty acids from fat tissues. How's that for a metabolism boost?
There's so much more to coffee then meets the eye. Who knows what other things we are putting in our bodies that could have healthy effects.
What are you waiting for now? Bottoms up!
